Sandcastles
I've taken to building sandcastles in places
Where I know damn well that the tide will roll in
And despite that I know that the dusk is anon
I can't help but building sandcastles again
The buildup is good but demolition is messy
I've been here before and I know better too
And much as I know I should stay on the high ground
I'd much rather build a sandcastle for two
In the heat
In the heat
I surrender
In the heat
In the heat
I burn
In the heat
In the heat
I am adored
And in the heat
In the heat
I have worth
In the heat
In the heat
I am solid
And in the heat
In the heat
I have ground
In the heat
In the heat
I am together
And in the heat
In the heat
I have found myself
But come the tide
Come the tide
I crumble
So please be the master of this castle
I've built you
And climb all the walls
And try to get in
'Cause the sun is now cold
And the waves are upon me
And grain by grain
I'm drifting again
